AMETEK Measurement & Calibration Technologies, a division of AMETEK’s Electronic Instruments Group (EIG), designs, manufactures, and distributes sensors and sensor-based instruments and calibration systems that provide precise measurements of pressure, level, temperature, position, force, material tension, compression, and hardness. AMETEK Measurement & Calibration Technologies serves a global customer base with manufacturing operations in the United States, United Kingdom, and Denmark, and has a worldwide network of sales and service locations. AMETEK Automation & Process Technologies is a business unit within the AMETEK Measurement & Calibration Technologies Division and manufactures products that date back to the 1930’s with the Gemco Electric Company and the B/W Controls Company as core businesses.

Gemco started as a custom electrical panel fabricator, but soon developed several standard control products, including our renowned, industry standard, rotary cam limit switches. In the 1970’s Gemco expanded into resolver based electronics and programmable limit switches, where we set many industry standards including unique high-speed output performance. In the 1980’s, Gemco brand magnetostrictive LDTs were added. We have continued to develop our product lines around unique solutions in difficult applications. The Gemco brand remains on many of the AMETEK Automation and Process Technologies products today, including our DeviceNet sensors and Allen-Bradley PLC Bus Card Products.

B/W Controls began with liquid level controls for water and wastewater applications in the 1930’s and products included conductance probes, float sensors and level control packages. In the 1980’s magnetostrictive level sensors and leak detection products were introduced. These products are well recognized for EPA compliance in underground storage tank monitoring as highly accurate solutions. In the 1990’s we introduced our patented Stik�?& Flex Probes design for tank applications.

CATRAC�?brand of light to heavy duty cable and hose carriers have been used on various types of machinery as a means of safely and efficiently conveying power, electrical, air and fluid to equipment in motion since 1967. Our vast line up of standards will allow you to select the optimum carrier to suit your specific needs. Link heights from 2.00 inches for lighter duty applications through 8.00 inches for those larger industrial type applications are available, as well as a huge array of bending radii and widths. Custom designs are our specialty.
